Munnar Backpacking trip

Munnar, nestled in the Western Ghats of Kerala, is a loved paradise for adventure seekers, honeymooners and nature lovers, alike. With its lush green tea plantations, rolling hills, mist-covered valleys, and pleasant climate, Munnar is a much-loved retreat among people in South India. Whether you are planning a family vacation, a romantic getaway, or a solo retreat, a Munnar trip will leave you enchanted.

The town is surrounded by vast stretches of tea plantations, making it one of the largest tea-growing regions in South India. The scent of fresh tea leaves, the cool breeze, and the occasional sight of Nilgiri Tahr (a rare mountain goat), often sighted in the Eravikulam National Park add to the charm of the place. Moreover, this park is home to the very rare and famous Neelakurinji flowers, which bloom once every 12 years, painting the hills in a mesmerizing shade of blue. Mattupetty Dam, Kundala Lake, and Attukal Waterfalls further enhance the scenic beauty of Munnar, making it a dream destination for travellers. With our Munnar tour package, you will be witnessing all of these marvels while having the best time at the township.

Best Time to Plan Your Munnar Trip

Munnar is a year-round destination, but the best time to visit depends on your preferences and what you want to experience. However, our Munnar tour package ensures that whenever you go, you make unforgettable memories.

  • Winter (September to February): This is the ideal season for a Munnar trip, with temperatures ranging from 10°C to 25°C. It’s perfect for sightseeing, adventure activities, and romantic getaways. The sun is shining bright and you will not have any areas closed due to the weather.
  • Summer (March to May): Pleasant weather with temperatures between 15°C and 30°C. It’s a great time for nature walks and exploring tea plantations. A Munnar trip is never complete without taking a stroll through the tea gardens.
  • Monsoon (June to August): Though it rains heavily, the lush greenery and misty landscapes make Munnar even more picturesque. However, landslides and roadblocks can be a concern.
