Once the summer capital of the erstwhile British government, Munnar boasts South India’s highest peak, Anamudi and the world’s highest tea plantation, Kolukkumalai. It is also home to a very rare flower, Neelakurinji which blooms once in 12 years as well as the endangered Nilgiri Tiger.
